3 NIGHT ITINERARY
First night: Parador de MANZANARES
A place to relax and rest on route to the Manchegan territories. There are several areas with beautiful scenery such as las Lagunas de Ruidera and las Tablas de Daimiel, also important areas for migratory birds. This attractive modern hotel, located just off the main road heading south from Madrid to Andalusia, with its white walls, Moorish tiles and pantiled roof, lies in the heart of La Mancha, and nearby one can still see some of the old windmills made famous in the tale of Don Quixote.
Second and Third nights: Parador de ALMAGRO
Situated in the heart of La Mancha's plains, this white village has diverse places of interest such as the Almacen de los Fucares, the famous Corral de Comedias, the beautiful main square and the National Museum of Theatre. A walk around the village to discover the numerous palaces and important houses is also very interesting. The elegant and peaceful Parador was once a Franciscan convent, built in 1596. Although in the centre of Almagro the Parador offers serenity to its guests, the quiet of its many interior courtyards only disturbed by the sounds of fountains and the singing of birds. Close to Almagro is the town of Valdepeñas with the important Bodegas Real wine cellar.
