Parador de La Granja

18th century buildings within the grounds of the Royal Palace
The Parador de La Granja was officially opened by King Juan Carlos of Spain on 7th June 2007 within the grounds of the magnificent palace of La Granja near Segovia.
This is the 91st Parador in the network and it offers all the facilities you might expect of a 21st century hotel, combined with the character and sense of history created by the 18th century buildings that house the Parador. The Palace of La Granja de San Ildefonso was designed for King Felipe V and later used as a summer residence for successive kings, and is a popular visitor attraction in the province of Segovia. 127 bedrooms have been created within the original ‘Casa de los Infantes’ – the Princes’ house built by Carlos III – and the Quarters of the King’s bodyguard have been converted into a modern convention and meeting centre supported by state of the art technology. Two of these rooms, including the Banqueting Hall, each have the capacity for nearly 500 people.
The restaurant offers a high standard of cuisine including regional dishes such as suckling pig as well as national and international cuisine, accompanied by Paradors’ typically extensive wine selection.
