Perched on a wooded hillside in the Spanish Pyrenees, the spectacular Parador de Vielha has stunning views down the beautiful Aran Valley, and is a great base for exploring the mountains. In winter, the Arán Valley offers both downhill and cross-country skiing, while in summer there is a rich variety of walks for hikers, or more serious expeditions up the surrounding peaks. The restaurant is a stunning round structure with a conical roof and surrounded by glass, giving diners magnificent panoramic views.
