Parador Museums
Paradors have initiated the development of some Paradors with historical importance, into 'Parador Museums'. This is designed to help you make the most of a stay in these magical hotels and learn more about the history of the building you are staying in. It invites you to understand the history, legends and settings of each building, with fascinating factual information on the important aspects of each part of the building.
According to the Parador's President, “We know that our Paradores have a very important historical, artistic and architectual wealth, Many of our guests, however, did not perceive this wealth, nor did the inhabitants of the towns and villages where our Paradors are located. Each Parador becoming a `Parador Museum´ will benefit the guests staying at the hotel or visiting its restaurant. We are convinced that even the inhabitants of the area will be surprised when they rediscover their Parador and will feel proud."
The history of each building is being carefully researched by Paradors and this information is summarized and displayed on informative plaques distributed within the building in a logical order. Visitors can then follow a self-guided tour with a printed guide including site of the Parador.
So far 6 Paradors have become 'Parador Museums'. Please click on the 'pdf' links below to see more information. We have taken the 'text' out of each document to make it more user-friendly!
